Public Speaking Institute of Ireland Ltd. works with Academic Institutes in delivering courses to all 3rd levels of Undergraduate, Post Graduate, Masters and PhD students.

We provide workshops to groups of students who may have to deliver a presentation as part of their end of semester projects.

This is a great introduction in the delivery of academic presentations; which helps students become comfortable in organising their projects and presenting their information.

These courses can be run over 1/2 day or full day times, depending on the needs of the students and the department.

'Introduction to Presenting Projects'

Undergraduate Students: (For end of semester projects)

Aimed at those who have never delivered a project in front of a panel or group

• Identifying the key message for the project
• Structuring a project for presentation
• Organising the 'flow' of the project
• Organising all research and main points
• Giving the presentation an Introduction, Body and Conclusion
• Overcoming nerves and fears for presenting
• Delivery of project to group*

*Each student must deliver a 2 minute overview of their project back to the group for feedback from the trainer.

'Advanced Presentations for Project Delivery'

Post Graduate, Masters and PhD students: (For on going project delivery)

Aimed at those who have previously delivered presentations

• Delivery of presentation
• Constructive feedback on presentation delivery
• Assessment based on the following criteria:
  • Introduction
  • Content
  • Conclusion
  • Personal Qualities
  • Relationship to Audience
  • Physical Delivery
  • Oral Delivery
  • Preparation

Course Duration: All different levels of courses can be delivered from 1 day Workshops to ongoing assessments for those in postgraduate studies.

Workshops: Number of Participants: Maximum 10 per training day

Ongoing Assessments: Dependent on type of studies
